Location: Three trailhead parking lots, approximately 6 miles west of Boulder off of Sugarloaf Road

Popular shared use foothills preserve offers mountain and golden prairie views, diverse habitat, several trail options: 3.3 mile Betasso loop, 2.4 mile Benjamin loop, 1.3 mile good workout (steeper) Canyon link; Canyon Loop and Benjamin Loop limited to just hikers on Wednesday, Saturdays

Fairmount Cemetery Arboretum, Heritage Rose Garden - Denver

Why Go There? Colorado’s largest arboretum, both in acreage, number of significant trees, plants, features one of North America's largest known collections of heirloom roses; designated a Wildlife Viewing Area by Colorado Parks and Wildlife. The cemetery's mausoleum contains the largest private collection of stained glass in Denver and one of the largest in Colorado; variety of tours (fees) offered support the Arboretum (run by non-profit foundation).

North Table Mountain Park - Golden
Location: Three trailheads with parking/restrooms: West: 4788 Highway 93; Golden Cliffs: 100 Peery Parkway (East: Easley Road, see website map)
Why Go There? 1,993 acre, 17.3 miles of shared use trails provide panoramic views, wildlife, rock climbing on ancient volcanic bluffs; North Table trail provides 7.3 mile loop; other hikes with varying levels of difficulty ratings
