Fairmount Cemetery Arboretum, Heritage Rose Garden - Denver

Mausoleum Monday-Friday 9:00am-4:00pm,Saturday-Sunday until 2:00pm
Location: 430 South Quebec
Why Go There? Colorado’s largest arboretum, both in acreage, number of significant trees, plants, features one of North America's largest known collections of heirloom roses; designated a Wildlife Viewing Area by Colorado Parks and Wildlife. The cemetery's mausoleum contains the largest private collection of stained glass in Denver and one of the largest in Colorado; variety of tours (fees) offered support the Arboretum (run by non-profit foundation).

North Table Mountain Park - Golden

Location: Three trailheads with parking/restrooms: West: 4788 Highway 93; Golden Cliffs: 100 Peery Parkway (East: Easley Road, see website map)
Why Go There? 1,993 acre, 17.3 miles of shared use trails provide panoramic views, wildlife, rock climbing on ancient volcanic bluffs; North Table trail provides 7.3 mile loop; other hikes with varying levels of difficulty ratings
