Why Go There? The benchmark for small-batch production high quality rich creamy intense flavored ice cream, served with a smile. Ingredient base is Straus Family Dairy organic cream, milk and seasonal farm-sourced fruit. Regular flavors include salted caramel, coffee, browned butter ginger with other seasonal rotating flavors, including sorbets. No matter how long the lines, staff will cheerfully provide tastes of flavors before ordering. Can avoid lines by purchasing pre-pack pints (also available in the 18th Street Bi-Rite store across the street) or opt for the walk-up window next to the scoop shop, which offers two soft serve flavors daily; visit during non peak hours, weekdays. Multi-purchase punch card reward: free scoop after a dozen purchases.
