Why Go There? Two miles from downtown Ashland, this "hippy/new age vibe" 30 plus acre natural hot springs, event center offers seasonally available rental teepees, year-round car, tent, RV camping; no extra charge access to the spa: hot springs fed swimming pool, hot pool, steam, sauna (except when closed during the day on Mondays). Non-campers can pay for daily access to the spa, except Mondays when pool is drained, and fresh water re-filled. Monday evening spa re-opens at 6:00pm for "ladies only" (clothing optional daily after sunset, and ladies night).

Steamboat Inn - Idlewyld Park

Why Go There? Nestled along the scenic North Umpqua river, the inn offers cozy river view cabins, a few nearby houses. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and family-style dinners. Overnight inn guests are given reservation priority for special event wine dinners, but space permitting, locals and other dinner guests are welcome. The area is known for fly fishing, numerous beautiful waterfalls, trails to explore along the river. During non-winter months the highway east of the inn leads to Diamond Lake and northern entrance to Crater Lake National Park.

Wolf Creek Inn & Tavern - Wolf Creek

Location: Just off Highway 5 exit 76, 20 miles north of Grants Pass
Why Go There? Historic stagecoach stop picturesque memorabilia filled inn owned by Oregon State Parks (run by concessionaire) offers several charming rooms (seasonal rates vary), a couple of budget no frills/shared bathroom hostel bunk rooms; gift shop. Notably famous personalities Jack London, Clark Gable stayed there. Unlike it's 'sister inn': French Glen hotel near Southeast Oregon's Steens mountains, (also a stagecoach stop), inn rooms have been remodeled, include private bathrooms. Small restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, dinner (Wednesday-Sunday), schedules special event meals, some with entertainment; complimentary morning coffee/tea provided to overnight guests on Monday-Tuesdays. Tiny Wolf Creek town has a few gift shops, general store, gas station. A number of hikes are close by, including London Peak trail (see hikes, walks).
