Location: 59395 Highway 78, between milepost 25, 26
Why Go There? High desert location offers great night skies, quiet, serene early mornings. Unlimited use of the natural hot springs-fed 102 degree pond awaits renters of five quaint cabins, rooms, teepee. Almost all are shared bath, with shared-use kitchen, showers, common sitting room areas, (which are also available for campsite renters); day use option.

Frenchglen Hotel - Frenchglen

Why Go There? Rustic, small historic hotel offers proximity to and views of the Steens Mountains. Originally a stagecoach stop; an Oregon State Park historic site. Rooms are shared bath. Don't miss optional family-style freshly prepared dinners; reservation (required). Breakfast, lunches also available, no reservations needed. First-come-first-serve campground option nearby.  More modern accommodations, private bathrooms, air conditioned rooms available at nearby higher cost Drover's Inn, built to accommodate Frenchglen overflow.

Summer Lake Hot Springs - Paisley

Location: 41777 Highway 31
Why Go There? 145 acres at the south end of Summer Lake offers great night skies, quiet, serene early mornings. Unlimited use of natural hot springs-fed indoor larger pool, three small outdoor more natural soaking pools (106-109 degrees) await renters of several cabins with kitchens/bathrooms, two newer deluxe concrete townhouse apartment style lodging; RV/tent camping areas; day use option; clothing optional evenings, early mornings. Bring own food, or drive into nearby Paisley for meals. Summer Lake wildlife area is a short drive away, great for birders.
